Booking Points

A bet you place on the total number of booking points in a football match. A yellow card is 10 points, a red card is 25 points and each player can get no more than 35 points.

Correct Score

A bet placed on the exact score of a match or event at full or part time.

DNB / Draw no bet

If you place a DNB bet and the result is a draw your bet will be voided and you will retain your stake. If you bet on ‘Next Goal DNB’ and neither team scores another goal your bet will be voided.

Favourite

The team, side, horse or contestant that is considered to be the most talented or the most likely to win.

Fixed Odds

In a fixed odds bet your payout is determined by the odds when you placed your bet, no matter how much the odds fluctuate.

Half time/Full time

Betting on the result at half time and the final outcome of the match. If at half time the score is 1-0 and the match ends 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/X.

Handicap Betting

This is where you bet on the outcome of an event (at full or part time) where one team has been given a points start. Bets are settled on the virtual outcome after applying the handicap.

Head-to-Head

A bet on which of two contestants will finish furthest ahead in an event. When you bet on how three participants will finish it is called a Triple-Head.

Odd/Even

Period betting

Betting on the outcome of each separate period within a match or event. For instance if the period scores in an ice hockey match are 2-0 / 0-1 / 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/2/X.

Pool-betting

A kind of betting where the money from all entrants goes into a common pool that is then split amongst the winners.

Result betting

A bet placed on the exact score of a match or event at part or full time.

Scorecast

When you bet simultaneously on two occurrences in the same event (or in related events). For instance first goal-scorer and correct score.

Stake

The money used to bet on an event.

Trixie

A combination bet on three events combined into three doubles and one treble - i.e. four bets.

Void Bet

A bet which is declared invalid. The stake is returned unless the voided event was included in a multiple system. The voided event is said to be priced at odds 1.00.

Winner or Win/Place bet

This is where you bet on one participant to win or to place in a specified position or range of positions.

Yankee

A combination bet on four events combined into six doubles, four trebles and one fourfold - i.e. eleven bets.
