That plus (+) prefix for GCU tells us that they are the underdog. That’s probability right there. East Carolina are the favorites, so they are more likely to win. There is a lesser chance of Grand Canyon winning the game and the bet.

We also needed to know about payouts. The answer to that lies in those numbers.

• At odds of -240, we would need to bet $240 to win $100.


• At odds of +195, a stake of 100 Dollars wins $240

The stakes are for illustration and you can bet what you like between limits. Don’t worry if your math isn’t too hot; as soon as you type in a stake, your betslip will tell you about potential payouts.

Betting comes with a degree of jargon and we’re here to bust it. One of the phrases you might hear when it comes to NCAA college baseball betting is something about betting with the public. This means to bet on the favorite in a NCAA College Baseball game.

You can also use the run line to bet on the underdog for a ball game. Winning bets will pay at +150 if Grand Canyon win or if they lose by a single run.

#2: Total Runs bets in College Baseball

Runs are crucial to baseball. They make the difference between winning and losing. With all our baseball bets, it’s possible to stake on the total runs in a game and here’s one option.



This is an actual match from the NCAA. The Totals line has been set at nine and there are two options. Do you bet Over or Under the line?

If there are ten runs or more, winning bets pay at odds of +100. A game with eight runs or fewer pays at -121.

But what if there are exactly nine runs? In this case, the bet would be declared a ‘push’ and your stake would be returned.

Total Runs betting allows you to set your own line. That green circle at the bottom of the image is a slider. Move it from left to right and new lines will appear.



We’ve moved things a fraction to set a new line at 8.5. The odds to go Over are -125 while Under 8.5 would pay at +104. This time there is no potential for a Push as there can’t be 8.5 runs exactly.

#3: Props in College Baseball Betting

Prop is short for proposition and it’s a bet on something that might happen in a game. Props get separated into two sections.

Here’s some more jargon to bust: A parlay is a multiple bet that consists of at least two selections. In some parts of the world it’s known as a straight line multiple and that’s quite descriptive.
